Pot Holders

My mother in law put my pot holders in a pan of oil?
Well she is staying with us till she gets her own place and I have no idea why in the heck she would do this but she put my good thick almost new oven mits in a pan of oil and they sat over night until I discovered them. I tried to wash them and they are still oily. What can I do to get the greasy oily feeling out of them. They still feel so oily. And she keeps using my decorative pot holders from the wall and its pissing me off.. what can I do to clean these things???
why isnt my question showing up? grr
Oh, my heart goes out to you...and not about your pot holders. Try soaking them in the sink with A LOT of dishwashing liquid for about a day, then wash them in hot water. You might have to repeat this process. Maybe she'll ask why you're soaking them and you can let her know. If she's like my monster in law she did it on purpose. My deepest sympathy.

Felt Christmas

Question to followers of the Jewish faith: How do you feel about Christmas being so commercialized?
Like i know that you do not celebrate Christmas for obvious religious reasons, but other than that, whats your main opinion on Christmas being so commercialized to the point where its almost secular now? Do you like the season and do Jewish people ever celebrate christmas like in a secular way with the getting together and gift giving or do they just omit it and not recognize it period? Was just wondering how Jews feel about Christmas.
response: Its the Jewish sabbath and the 1st night of Chanukkah - most aren't online right now
The Jewish people I know don't celebrate Xmas on any level. Starring for contacts. Leave the question open until after tomorrow night.
